The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is broad.
What You Trade On
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should be part of how you think about it.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, TabTrade add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you deposit.
